CRE Civil Group Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Civil Engineering Technician to join our team in Melbourne, VIC 3000. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our civil engineering projects, ensuring the successful delivery of infrastructure works.
What you'll be doing
* Prepares sketches, drawings and tabulations to assist in the design and planning of civil engineering projects
* Performs laboratory testing and analyses data from construction sites to support Civil Engineering Professionals
* Assists with the inspection, organisation and supervision of civil engineering works to ensure adherence to project timelines and compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards
* Assists with estimating quantities and costs of materials and labour required for civil engineering projects
* Assisting civil engineers in the design, planning, and implementation of civil engineering projects
* Gather data for project planning and execution
* Interpreting and analysing technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
* Performing material testing and quality control checks to ensure compliance with industry standards
* Providing technical support and advice to construction teams on site
* Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to project activities
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimise project outcomes
What we're looking for
* Strong technical skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
* Proficiency in using surveying equipment, material testing equipment, and relevant software applications
* Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
