Heavy Diesel Plant Mechanic - Lead Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Heavy Diesel Plant Mechanic to lead our team in the maintenance of our fleet of machinery. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of large-scale mining equipment and be able to hold a pre-start, communicate effectively with the team, and contribute to the day-to-day servicing and maintenance of our fleet.

The successful candidate will have leadership experience on open cut mine sites and a strong work ethic, safety-first mindset, and the ability to lead from the front.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Leading day-to-day maintenance on our fleet of Caterpillar, Hitachi, and Komatsu machines
* Supporting rental fleet servicing and breakdowns as needed
* Maintaining safety and compliance to all HSE policies and site procedures
* Working closely with site teams and stakeholders to deliver uptime targets and operational goals
* Driving a strong team culture that values safety, reliability, and performance
The key requirements for this role include:
* Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or Fitting (Australian-recognised)
* Proven post-trade experience with large-scale mining equipment
* Leadership or supervisor experience on open cut mine sites
* HR Driver's Licence (preferred)
* High-risk work licence (preferred – we also provide training)
* A strong work ethic, safety-first mindset, and the ability to lead from the front
