Customer Administrative Officer required for a State Gov Department in Cairns Your new company Hays Recruitment are pleased to support the recruitment of a highly motivated Customer Administrative Officer to work within a community-focused State Government Department, starting ASAP for up to 5 weeks, based in Cairns. Your new role As the Customer Administrative Officer, you will deliver high-quality administration, telephone and reception services to customers, service providers and members of the public by maintaining a welcoming and professional manner. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers either by phone or in person, maintaining a welcoming manner and acknowledging all visitors and callers. Provide high-level customer service, and referral to appropriate services Provide administrative support to staff in the Customer Experience and Delivery program Liaise with customers, their families and other stakeholders in the preparation of draft customer budgets. Review and prepare payments on behalf of customers. Maintain confidential, accurate and complete records of your work activities, including customer contact, customer information and referrals. Provide support through a range of administrative functions as required. What you'll need to succeed This position requires high-level customer service experience and organisational skills. The successful candidate will be able to multi-skill whilst working effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, be well-organised and take pride in providing a service to the Queensland community. Experience in a customer service role Developed professional communication skills Basic computer literacy, including competent use of Microsoft Office or the ability to rapidly acquire Be a confident communicator who can influence and negotiate with moderate autonomy.
