Overview
For Butcher and Meat Cutter roles to deliver premium, retail-ready meat products for a leading food retailer.
This is a permanent full time position, Monday to Friday with rotating weekend shifts within a supportive, family-focused company.
Responsibilities
- Breaking down carcasses and large cuts into retail-ready portions for sale.
- Displaying and hygienically packaging meat products attractively.
- Assisting with inventory rotation, cleaning, and maintaining section hygiene.
- Working closely with other departments such as seafood, deli, and patisserie.
- Engaging with customers as required to provide excellent service.
Qualifications
- Current bandsaw operation experience and butchery trade skills.
- Ability to efficiently break down whole lamb and pig carcasses.
- Strong focus on hygiene and safety standards in meat handling.
- Permanent Resident visa or equivalent work rights.
Job details
- Location: North Western suburbs of Victoria.
- Job type: Permanent, Full-time; Monday to Friday with rotating weekend shifts; overtime available in peak periods; early starts.
- Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per annum plus superannuation.
