The Role
This position will support the main Hospital Reception.
The main reception is open 6am-8pm weekdays and 8am-8pm weekends and Public Holidays.
The Reception/Administration Officer will be responsible for:
·Providing a comprehensive customer focused service to both internal and external customers in relation to all aspects of Admissions and Reception
·Providing information to the hospitals external and internal clients via telephone or in person and directing them to the appropriate areas in an efficient, friendly and effective manner.
·Providing clerical support to the Admissions and Reception team ensuring an effective, financially informed and productive presentation and admission process for all patients.
The Reception/Administration Officer will fulfil their role within the team with the support of the Administration Team leader and the Administration Manager.
Essential Criteria:
·Flexibility to work a rotating roster
·Excellent customer services skills
·Well-developed communication skills to work as part of a team with a willingness to learn new skills;
Desirable Criteria:
·Previous experience in a Medical Practice or Hospital
·Some knowledge of the private health sector including health fund contract tables/member eligibility
·Medical Terminology
