About The Opportunity

Programmed Facility Management are seeking an experienced Maintenance Painter to join our Exmouth/Carnarvon/ Midwest Team. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides maintenance services to over 18,000 public housing dwellings for the Department of Communities, including Aboriginal communities in remote locations throughout the State.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Branch Supervisor, the Maintenance Painter is primarily responsible for general maintenance and reactive maintenance of our contract's facilities.

Duties include:

- Apply paints, sealers, and solvents to the exterior and interior building surfaces such as plaster, sheetrock, concrete and wood
- Prepare painting surfaces for painting by scraping, filling in the cracks and removing old paint.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment.

About You

To join our team, you will be a qualified Painter who has experience in a domestic or commercial environment, has excellent attention to detail and a strength for delivering a high quality service without compromise. The incumbent is a key person within the Team, promoting staff morale while displaying a “can do” and “Team Player” attitude. Additionally, you will provide first-class customer service whilst maintaining a commitment to the safety of yourself and others at all times.

Additionally, you will possess:

- Current Painters Registration (mandatory)
- VALID C Class and HRWL (LF) License (mandatory)
- Australian Working Rights
- Ability to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
- First Aid training and Trade based competencies (desirable)

Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:
- Advanced Systems and Technology experience i.e., MS Office, online/web-based Workorder Management Software (Loc8) and Safety, Payroll & Training requirements,
- Ability to work in a Team; be a self-motivator and take instructions.
- Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills.
- Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others, at all times.
