Job Title:

Nurse/Midwife Clinical Coordinator


Role Description:

As a Nurse/Midwife Clinical Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting primary health care staff to apply quality improvement processes and clinical standards using established systems. You will help develop activities aligned with best practice and the NT Aboriginal Health Forum Endorsed CQI Model.

The successful candidate will contribute to guideline development, policy interpretation, and change management to improve service delivery. Additionally, they may be required to travel to remote areas by road or light plane, staying for up to a week as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

* Support PHC staff in applying quality improvement processes and clinical standards.
* Help develop activities aligned with best practice and the NT Aboriginal Health Forum Endorsed CQI Model.
* Assist in managing resources, including clinical equipment procurement.
* Contribute to guideline development, policy interpretation, and change management to improve service delivery.
* Travel to remote areas as required, including stays of up to one week.


Requirements:

* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible for same.
* Proven advanced clinical knowledge and skills in Primary or Remote Health or related area, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Proven proficiency in understanding and applying professional knowledge to provide advice and support.
* Experience supporting local/regional policy development, interpreting policy and precedent, and contributing to change management initiatives.
* Well-developed knowledge of social and cultural factors influencing health care provision.
* Ongoing appointment is subject to attainment of Graduate Diploma, or equivalent, beyond entry-to-practice in Primary or Remote Health Care or related area.
