**Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) employs over 550 people throughout Queensland.

We are a vibrant organisation servicing over 33,000 members.

Formally established in 1930, we are the governing body for surf lifesaving in Queensland, comprising of 57 affiliated surf lifesaving clubs in six regional branches.

Our organisation also includes supporters' clubs and a range of programs that involve more than 462,000 participants.

We are directly affiliated with, and are a part of Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) and the International Life Saving Federation (ILF).**

**Our Organisation encompasses several diverse arms - lifesaving services, community education, membership services, surf sports, fundraising, aviation, lifeguards and commercial training.**

**About the Role**

**We are seeking a motivated and passionate Lifesaving Officer - Funding, Statistics and Quality Assurance with options of either part-time hours (30.4 hours per week) or full-time hours.

This role will provide support to the operations team, state funding and customer service to all clubs within QLD.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Assist in preparing correspondence and communications for funding support.**:

- **Coordinate grant and funding related meetings.**:

- **Coordinate grant opportunities on behalf of the company.**:

- **Administration tasks related to reports, grants and statistics for funding deadlines.**:

- **Agenda and minute taking responsibilities and following up action items.**:

- **Liaising with internal and external stake holders on behalf of the company.**:

- **Distributing grant information by required deadline.**:

- **Maintain and update records related to Lifesaving operations.**:

- **Maintain the Quality Assurance auditing and compliance schedules and administration.**:

- **Assisting with procurement for lifesaving equipment.**:

- **Updating and maintaining of registers for clubs and branches based on grant allocations and government funding.**:

- **Monthly statistics are up to date.**:

- **Annual reports are updated on appropriate sites.**:

- **Reception relief when required.**

**About You**
- **Solid administrative skills (such as minute taking, report writing, policy/procedure interpretation, booking meetings etc.)**:

- **Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills**:

- **Proven experience in managing confidential/sensitive matters**:

- **Sound problem solving skills**:

- **Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines**:

- **Outstanding organisational and time management skills**:

- **Ability to communicate and get along with people from all levels within an organisation and from all works of life**:

- **Ability to work autonomously**:

- **Excellent verbal and written communication skills**

**Qualifications and Experience**
- **Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain) (Essential)**:

- **Proof of Identity Check and National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain) (Essential)**:

- **Understanding of National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (Essential)**:

- **Current Driver’s License**:

- **Good computer knowledge with high competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power

Point)**:

- **Experience in dealing with corporate governance**
