We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and values-driven Team Leader – over the Specialist Homeless Service supporting the Women's Domestic and/or Family Violence Refuges to lead frontline teams delivering short-term accommodation and case management support to women and children fleeing domestic and/or family violence.

This role sits within our Connecting Home Women's DFV Homelessness Services portfolio and plays a critical leadership role in ensuring safe, high-quality, trauma-informed service delivery across refuge and outreach settings.

Job Description

This role gives you the opportunity to:

* Lead and support a multidisciplinary team delivering short-term refuge-based DFV services
* Embed best-practice, trauma-informed, strengths-based and culturally safe practice
* Provide reflective supervision, case reviews, audits and high-risk case oversight
* Ensure services meet contractual, legislative, WHS and compliance requirements
* Contribute to service development, quality improvement and system strengthening
* Collaborate with government, housing, justice, health and community partners
Job Description

This is a great opportunity to further develop your leadership, supervision and governance skills within a complex and rewarding service environment.

As a Team Leader at Social Futures, you will be supported through mentoring, coaching and access to our Leadership Academy. You will oversee day-to-day service delivery, support staff capability, and ensure women and children receive safe, coordinated and person-centred support during times of crisis and transition.

Work will occur across multiple sites and include rostered shifts on an after-hours Domestic Violence Response line (DVRE) as well as afternoon or weekend work in line with service models.

This role is currently funded until 31 December 2027.

About you

We're looking for a capable and compassionate leader who can balance people leadership, service delivery, and governance in a high-risk environment.

You will bring:

* Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Welfare, Mental Health or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
* Demonstrated experience leading teams in DFV, homelessness, mental health or complex human services environments
* Strong understanding of domestic and family violence, trauma-informed practice and risk management
* Experience providing supervision, case reviews and managing high-risk and complex cases
* Well-developed organisational, time management and administrative skills
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to maintain clear professional boundaries while delivering person-centred practice
* Experience monitoring budgets, compliance, quality assurance and WHS systems
Mandatory Requirements
* Current Working with Children Check
* Current National Police Check
* Ability to work across multiple locations and occasionally outside standard hours
