Explore our Impact Report to see how we:Supported over 1,500 women across Central Australia and the Barkly RegionLaunched new services like School Lawyers and Criminal Law outreachPartnered with health, education and community organisations to create real changeJoin a team making a measurable difference in the lives of women and families every day.About the OpportunityCentral Australian Women's Legal Service (CAWLS) is looking for a full-time Integrated Community Justice Partnerships – Team Lead based in Alice Springs, NT.This new leadership role reports to both the Senior Management Team and Manager of Education & Policy.
It focuses on delivering remote outreach programs and community-led education initiatives aimed at reducing domestic, family, and sexual violence and improving access to justice for women.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Engaging with local communities and services to co-design outreach programsCoordinating delivery of services and managing ongoing relationshipsOverseeing data collection and contributing to grant reportingDelivering community education on DFSV in remote settingsCoordinating the planning and delivery of remote community outreach activitiesLeading a multidisciplinary team and supporting integrated justice responsesCollaborating across CAWLS to improve service delivery in underserved areasPlanning, facilitating and evaluating outreach and education activitiesTravelling regularly to communities across Central Australia & Barkly regionAbout YouTo qualify, you will need qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, Community Development, or a related field, and/or experience in delivering community education, particularly in domestic, family, and sexual violence (DFSV).
You will also bring:Community development experience and facilitation skillsStrong understanding of DFSV and its impacts in remote communitiesExperience coordinating programs, teams, or grantsCultural awareness and ability to engage with Aboriginal communitiesAbility to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively in a teamWell-developed communication, time management, and organisational skillsHigh level of computer literacy and data/report writing capabilityNT Driver's Licence, or ability to obtain oneNT Ochre Card and National Police Check, or ability to obtain bothThe following qualifications and experience will be highly valued:Post-admission experience in legal practice (desirable but not essential)Previous experience working in Community Legal CentresCommunity development trainingCultural awareness or DFSV training (desirable)Experience working with First Nations or CALD communitiesAs our ideal candidate, you will be motivated, culturally aware, and passionate about improving the lives of women in remote communities.
