About the Opportunity
As an Operations Manager, your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
4. Promote safety values and implement safety, health and environment policies and systems to embed safety into the culture and ways of working
5. Lead business & operational meetings and special event planning
6. Manage and monitor operational KPI’s to ensure resource planning is within budget and meets volume forecasts
7. Build a high performance team through clearly defined objectives, development plans, open and transparent communication
8. Drive engagement at all levels of the business, facilitate the sharing of ideas in a way that supports the achievement of key measures and drives continuous improvement
9. Manage 3PL’s to ensure service levels and costs are optimised
10. Ensure the continual review, improvement and maintenance of operational activities to drive efficiency, service, safety, engagement and value within the DC operation
11. Drive accountability within the business, and ensure that the elements of Supply Chain culture are embedded at all levels
12. Sponsor and lead change initiatives within the DC, including partnering with support functions throughout Supply Chain and other business units in the Woolworths Group
13. Promote succession and development planning at all levels of the business through clearly defined recruitment procedures, open and transparent communication, feedback to team members and relief opportunities

14. You are a true self-motivated and resilient leader with a strong background in the operational supply chain as well as previous experience in people management.
15. You will be recognised for your strategic mindset, people management skills and your ability to manage crisis and regulatory incidents.
16. You are proactive and able to identify gaps and convert these into opportunities, and use commercial acumen to drive smart growth decisions.
17. You maintain calm under pressure and have the ability to challenge the status quo and existing assumptions in order to promote innovative thinking and new solutions.
18. You work in a collaborative way with stakeholders at all levels, always with end-to-end thinking. You are a strong people leader and focus on the continual development and coaching of your team.

This role is vital to the operation of the site, and as such, our team of Operations Managers must cover and support the leadership of the site 24/7. To ensure a balance of role and homelife, the roster for this position is 4 AM shifts, 4 rostered off days, 4 PM shifts and 4 rostered off days.
In this role, we prioritise safety above all else and seek candidates who bring valuable experience in incident investigation and knowledge of relevant OH&S and RTW legislation. Candidates with previous experience in FMCG, Distribution, retail, and people management will be highly regarded.
