Clinical coach - general medicine (dandenong)

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Clinical Coach to join our team on South West 2 and West 2, Dandenong Hospital. This position is 1.0 EFT ongoing, split across both wards.

Responsibilities

• Support contemporary education that promotes best practice standards.
• Provide clinical support to staff of all proficiency levels, from novice to expert.
• Demonstrate and promote expertise and best practice standards.
• Work collaboratively with the leadership team and multi‐disciplinary team.
• Utilise resources such as the professional development framework to support a flexible and highly skilled workforce.

About Us

South West 2 and West 2 are 20 and 30‐bed wards specializing in General Medicine. As an Acute Medical Unit they manage a wide range of illnesses including, but not limited to cardiac, respiratory and renal conditions. The wards have established a Ward Governance model involving Nursing, Medical, Pharmacy and Allied Health. Team members focus on ensuring patient progress and safety while adapting best practice guidelines.

About You

You are a highly skilled nurse with well‐developed clinical skills and excel in engagement, communication and collaboration within a team environment. You have a passion for and experience in supporting learners.

• Commitment to quality clinical care and sound clinical skills.
• Developing leadership and ability to work effectively with a multi‐disciplinary team.
• Ability to show initiative and work independently when required.
• Understanding of different teaching and learning styles and ability to create, deliver and evaluate high‐quality teaching via various modalities.

• Relevant qualifications.
• Extensive relevant experience demonstrating the appropriate competencies and skills.
