We have an exciting opportunity to join our Technology team in Perth and are currently looking for an Engineer to join the team.

Responsibilities
* The role is primarily client-side focused, with some service-side math model development within our game studio team. There will be opportunities to collaborate across other parts of the stack, such as DevOps, observability, and centralisation.
* Develop client-side game features using TypeScript and PixiJS, with backend components in TypeScript/Node.js as needed.
* Design and implement architecture patterns to fit system needs, with exposure to game client patterns being advantageous.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, prototype features, and ensure they meet requirements while upholding non-functional guidelines.
* Maintain good software engineering practices: clean, well-structured code, automated tests, and documentation.
* Contribute to improving the codebase by understanding the goals of existing strategies and applying improvements.
* Ensure product features are delivered effectively, measured by lead time, deployment frequency, change failure percentage, MTTR, and production bugs.
* Understand cloud development fundamentals (hosted on AWS) and containerisation (Docker and/or Kubernetes).
* Work with a balance of OO and Functional programming paradigms.
Qualifications
* Strong interest in client-server communication patterns; some server-side experience (Node.js) is advantageous.
* Experience with WebGL technologies such as PixiJS or Three.js, and animation libraries like GSAP, is a plus. Experience with interactive visual applications, 2D game development, or other game engines (Godot, Unity, Unreal) is beneficial.
* Ability to work with stakeholders, prototype features, and collaborate to meet requirements while maintaining non-functional guidelines.
* Solid software development practices: writing clean, well-structured code, automated tests, and documentation.
* Commitment to improving the codebase with an understanding of the goals of existing strategies.
* Experience with cloud-native development and AWS; containerisation experience is desirable.
