Job Overview
Looking for a proactive B2B Travel Sales Manager with solid experience in the Australian travel market. The role is focused on promoting outbound travel services, developing agency partnerships, generating new leads, and maintaining strong relationships across travel agents in and around Melbourne. This is a field-focused role requiring extensive travel and daily in-person meetings with travel agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Cover the local B2B travel market and build strong product positioning.
Develop new business opportunities and agency affiliations.
Promote travel services and solutions to travel agents.
Deliver product demos, support, and client training.
Generate new leads and follow up on quotes and inquiries.
Strengthen relationships with existing clients and expand new accounts.
Coordinate with internal operations teams for pre-sales support.
Conduct daily field visits (approx. 5 travel agencies/day).
Must-Have Qualifications
2–6 years of experience in the Travel Industry.
Strong experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management.
Knowledge of the Australian travel trade and outbound destinations.
Good command of English and local market communication.
Valid Australian driving licence; comfortable with extensive local travel.
Good knowledge of destinations, hotels, and travel agencies.
Proficiency with MS Office, emails, and basic computer tools.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Experience in outbound travel agencies.
IATA Certification (preferred).
Candidates with airline experience are a good fit.
