This role plays a key part in delivering engaging media, marketing and communications that enhance Council's reputation and strengthen relationships with our community and stakeholders.

What you'll be doing
* Support Council's communications and engagement activities across media, digital and marketing channels
* Help deliver compelling content that aligns with Council's brand and strategic objectives
* Build positive relationships with media, internal teams and the community
* Assist in promoting Council programs, events and initiatives that make a real difference locally
* Create engaging content for Council's website, social media, newsletters and other channels
* Monitor media coverage relevant to Council
* Respond to media enquiries professionally and in a timely manner
What we're looking for
* Qualifications or relevant experience in media, communications or marketing
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience managing digital platforms, including WordPress and social media (Facebook, LinkedIn and X)
* Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office
* Experience using tools such as Canva, Mailchimp and SurveyMonkey
* Well-developed organisational and time-management skills
* A current Class C driver licence
