* About the Role:
* The Senior Litigation Solicitor – Team Leader will provide legal representation to the Council in complex matters, supervising investigations into allegations of unqualified legal practice and supporting the Deputy Director, Litigation and External Intervention in managing the litigation practice.
* The ideal candidate will have extensive team management experience, a thorough understanding of legal regulatory legislation, and the ability to identify and litigate alleged breaches of the law.
* This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to plan and organise self and other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
* The successful candidate will be capable of leading by example, demonstrating reason, fairness, objectivity, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions.
* A proven track record of conducting litigation before various courts and tribunals, preparing reports and advices, and gathering evidence is essential for this position.
