The Role:
Thomas Borthwick and Sons (Australia) is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and driven Electrical Supervisor to join our ever-expanding team. With a team of electricians and electrical technicians in place, the successful applicant will be responsible for leading and supervising a team to undertake electrical repairs, general maintenance and preventative maintenance, as well as coordinating subcontractors, to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
The successful candidate will be Electrically qualified in the State of Queensland, with the ability to supervise and mentor our electrical team, ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently, in compliance with Australian Standards The role will assist to design and manage the installation of electrical systems, including refrigeration facilities minimising downtime in the production area.
About the person:
It is Essential that you have the following experience/skills:
· Valid Queensland electrical license.
· Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering and/or significant electrical trade-based experience.
· 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
· A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety standards, focusing on continuous improvement.
· A strong understanding of current Australian electrical regulations and legislation.
· Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings
· A proven ability to troubleshoot.
· Fault finding experience with motor control, power circuits and VSDs.
· A demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
· Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with a can-do attitude.
It is Desirable that you have
· Knowledge of and experience in contemporary management of refrigeration, wastewater, steam generation and environmental technology
· Experience in food manufacturing environment.
