About the role:
As the Local Sales Manager for NSW Central West, you will be the driving force behind our market share growth by working with lapsed or new local businesses. You will be focused on the areas of Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo, Mudgee, Lithgow being able to work across these offices. You will also lead the sales growth of our key mastheads across the area such as Central Western Daily, Western Advocate and Daily Liberal.
You will maximise advertising revenue through managing inbound and outbound sales channels and designing the local sales plan for face-to-face sales
You will be responsible for:
* Leadership: Provide on-site coaching, mentoring, and career development while recruiting and leading a team of top-tier sales consultants
* Revenue Performance: Hit weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue targets while proactively identifying new revenue-generating opportunities
* Strategic Pipeline: Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business by leveraging your network and researching new customers
* Community Impact: Actively engage with local businesses and non-profit organisations within the footprint (e.g., Chamber of Commerce)
What you will bring:
* Sales Leadership: Proven experience in a leadership role within a sales environment, including staff coaching
* Methodology: Knowledge of the GROW and RACI model is ideal.
* Sales Expertise: Demonstrated ability to negotiate major deals and a proven track record in face-to-face sales
* Strategic Thinking: Degree qualified (Business or Marketing preferred) with a solution-based mindset
* Digital Proficiency: Intermediate skills in Google Suite and CRM systems.
* Mobility: A current valid driver's license and a well-maintained vehicle
