Aboriginal Enterprises Australia (AEA) specialise in providing construction and maintenance services to the commercial and residential market in remote areas of the Northern Territory and Western Australia. We are currently seeking a Boilermaker / Fabricator, to join our projects team in Alice Springs, on either a residential or FIFO / DIDO basis, depending on the project location.
About the Role
This role is crucial to the execution and delivery of high-quality results across our projects, both locally and in remote locations.
Extensive travel to job sites is part of the fun, adding variety to your working week. A travel allowance is paid for each night you are required to be away from Alice Springs.
Key Responsibilities
· Read and interpret technical drawings
· Undertake fabrication and welding tasks for project and maintenance work
· Installation, repair and / or construction of Chainmesh fencing, gates and steel structures
· General construction and maintenance duties, as needed
· Travel to remote communities as required
What We Are Looking For
· An experienced tradesperson with relevant experience
· Basic computer literacy for daily job and time record submissions
· Proactive safety focus and willingness to always adhere to safe work practices
· Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
· Ability to work independently and thrive in remote community settings
· Cross-cultural awareness
· Able to pass a pre-employment medical and alcohol / drug screen
Essential Qualifications
· Cert III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent
· White Card
· Valid Driver's licence
· Current Working with Children / Ochre Card (or willingness to obtain)
