The role

As Document Controller – Major Projects, you will play a critical role in supporting high-value, high-risk infrastructure programs by managing project documentation across the full lifecycle. You'll ensure records are accurate, secure, and accessible using platforms such as Aconex and SharePoint. Acting as a subject matter expert, you'll contribute to quality assurance, compliance, and stakeholder collaboration, helping deliver major projects successfully. This is a 2‑year fixed‑term role.


Key Duties

* Document Management: Collect, organise, and maintain project documentation; implement document control plans and procedures.
* System Administration: Administer Aconex and other platforms; troubleshoot issues and liaise with vendors.
* Version Control & Compliance: Maintain version integrity, access control, and adherence to standards.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Train and support teams; foster collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
* Quality Assurance: Monitor workflows, conduct audits, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Archiving & Retrieval: Maintain structured archives for compliance and future reference.


About you

You are detail‑oriented, highly organised, and thrive in fast‑paced project environments. With strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset, you ensure documentation processes run smoothly and meet compliance standards. Your ability to manage systems and support stakeholders makes you an integral part of the project team.


What you will have

* Extensive experience managing electronic document and records systems (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint) within large‑scale infrastructure or construction projects.
* Advanced knowledge of document control systems, version control, metadata management, and compliance with quality standards.
* Understanding of project lifecycles, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
* Strong planning, prioritisation, and problem‑solving skills; excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Current driver's licence, ability to obtain MSIC and White Card.
* Experience in construction or engineering environments.
