Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Temporary Full Time position with the Far West Local Health District. Location: Broken Hill, NSW. This role offers an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to $10,000 (conditions apply, may be pro-rata). Payments are made fortnightly under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme. The scheme recognises the role of key health workers in delivering rural and remote health services and aims to attract and retain staff beyond award entitlements.

What you'll be doing 
The Level 3 Senior Clinical Paediatric Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing a range of high-level assessment, therapeutic and preventative Occupational Therapy services in a generalist caseload across community/school and acute settings according to relevant models of care and priorities. The clinician is able to demonstrate advanced reasoning skills and operate with minimal direct clinical supervision.

About the Far West LHD 
The Far West Local Health District is one of 15 LHDs under NSW Health, providing high quality public health services to communities in far west NSW. Our vision is to create excellence in rural and remote healthcare. We employ well over 800 clinicians and support staff across our health facilities in Broken Hill and surrounding towns. 
Requirements / Qualifications 
- Must hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy eligible for AHPRA registration and have at least 3 years post graduate clinical experience in a relevant field. 
- Demonstrated advanced clinical practice knowledge, skills and experience within Paediatric Occupational Therapy, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice. 
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, as a member of the multidisciplinary team, prioritise and manage a mixed caseload. 
- Strong time management skills, written and verbal communication and IT skills including the ability or willingness to use Telehealth software. 
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, implement and evaluate quality improvement initiatives, research, and service development processes. 
- Demonstrated experience in clinical and team leadership, including experience in staff and student supervision. 
- Demonstrated excellence in communication skills including negotiation, decision making, advocacy and the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders. 
- Evidence of a Class C drivers licences and a willingness to travel for work purposes, including overnight stays.
