Disability Support Worker
This is a Casual/Temporary position available in Wellard, WA. The successful candidate will be part of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Flexible hours available
* Experience in caring for people with psychosocial or intellectual disabilities and the ability to oversee the general day-to-day tasks of disability support care, such as assisting with ADLs, cooking/assistance with cooking, supervising and assisting people, bowel care, and medication;
* Work in accordance with the medication administration policy, work health and safety procedures and client rights policies including privacy and confidentiality;
* Monitor the safety and well-being of the clients and report any concerns to the Manager;
* Reliable character;
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with clients, their families, community agencies and other professionals;
* Ability to work in a very busy environment and to work both independently and as a part of a team;
* Understanding of privacy and confidentiality issues;
* An empathetic approach to service delivery, with a flexible and adaptive style, a sense of humour, and keen attention to detail.
Requirements:
* Relevant NDIS or Aged Care Experience (Preferred);
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module;
* New Worker NDIS Induction Module;
* NDIS Worker Screening;
* Valid Driver's License;
* Working with Children Check;
* National Criminal Record Clearance;
* Certificate III in Disability or other relevant qualification or working towards obtaining qualification within 12 months (Desirable).
