The Roles
We are currently seeking a temporary packhouse supervisor for an immediate start who will be responsible for overseeing and assisting with sections of the the day to day packhouse operations of sorting, grading, and packing fruit.
Expect to work 5 days a week at minimum, subject to weather, so once you're into it, there'll be plenty to keep you occupied.
Training is provided, but you will need to have had some experience in supervising teams. Reporting to the Packhouse Manager, all roles involve:
* Accuracy and diligence
* Overseeing and supporting the work of others (up to 25)
* Being a hands-on team member where needed
* Liaising with others to share information and coordinate activities
Timing
The role starts right now and ais expected to run until late April, so it's a great opportunity to get involved and learn about the industry if you haven't done it before. If you find you love it and want to do it again next, year, we're happy to talk about that too.

To succeed you will need
* Staff supervision experience and interpersonal skills
* To love working in a busy environment with lots to think about and do.
* To work comfortably and harmoniously within a multicultural team.
* A proactive approach to learning, supporting and guiding the people around you
* Plenty of energy and focus, with a calm, positive attitude, good communications skills and willingness to do the job efficiently and effectively.
Ideally you will have worked in a similar environment before, but it is not necessary so long as you are keen to learn, responsible, and happy working at a fast pace with lots going on around you.
