About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and hands-on Senior Financial Accountant to join our Corporate Services team, based in Adelaide. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will play a pivotal part in supporting service line leaders and the wider finance team to delivery high quality financial insights, robust budgeting and forecasting and continuous improvement across financial systems and processes.
Key responsibilities
* Coordinate and prepare budgets and forecasts across business service lines.
* Lead the month-end reporting cycle and prepare monthly management reports with clear analysis and insights.
* Prepare statutory financial statements and supporting documentation for external auditors.
* Deliver profitability, productivity and ad hoc financial analysis to support business decision making.
* Manage working capital, cash flow forecasting and baking reporting requirements.
* Develop, maintain and enhance PowerBI dashboards and reporting tools.
* Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems and reporting.
* Mentor and support the Accountant and Finance Coordinator.
* Ensure all statutory, tax and regulatory obligations are completed accurately and on time.
* Assist with the financial modelling, analysis and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
The ideal candidate will be CA/CPA qualified with demonstrated experience in a similar role. You will have strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills with a proven ability to deliver insightful reporting and effective budgeting and forecasting processes. Additionally, you will have the ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a faced-paced environment.
Key to this role is exhibiting advanced Excel and Power BI skills along with a collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team.
