**PURPOSE OF POSITION**: The Shift Maintenance Fitter is an integral member of the Maintenance Team and, it will make a strong contribution to a high performing Operations team and team culture within the Hobart Site.
To provide high quality maintenance and repairs to equipment throughout the plant, with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance, to achieve acceptable production levels and a high standard in engineering support

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with required Quality and Food Safety policies procedures.
- Point of contact when attending a breakdown. Effective communication skills are required.
- Ensuring that contractors complete tasks safely, correctly and that all documentation is completed.
- Effective reporting of any issues relating to company SH&E & QA policies.
- Communication in both directions as required on all aspects relating to Maintenance. Obtain direction & provide feedback on all tasks/ issues. All communication on any concerns/ general matters as required.

Strategic deliverables
- Carry out preventative maintenance to plant and equipment within the facility.
- Carry out service and repair of Mechanical plant and equipment within the facility, Prioritise all types of given work
- Diagnose faults and carry out modifications to equipment.

Technical deliverables
- High level of technical and diagnostic skills including fault finding and problem solving.

Experience / Qualifications Required
- Mechanical trade certificate
- Previous experience with bakery equipment or industrial food production equipment
- Processed based risk assessment skills
- Excellent communication and numeracy skills

**KEY RELATIONSHIPS**:
Quality
- Compliance to HACCP & BRC
- Ensure compliance with required Quality and Food Safety policies procedures.
- Carry our foreign object walks as required
- Participate in all training as required by the company
- Effective reporting of any issues relating to company SH&E & QA policies

People
- Ensure own leadership behaviours are consistent with the vision, goals and priorities for GF.
- Make an active contribution to the team environment, through sharing knowledge and collaborating with others to build a high performing team.
- Ensure commitment and clear understanding of GF policies and procedures and adhere to the principles at all times.

SH&E
- To fulfil responsibilities as required in the Safety the GF Way management system
- To perform a WALK as required
- To attend and actively participate in TALK meetings as scheduled
- To report and action hazards and incidents in accordance with site procedure
- To follow company safety procedures
- 100% compliance to CARE Process
- Assist with SMS standards, where required
- Demonstrate commitment to health and safety through participation in formal and informal discussions and hazard inspections, etc.
- Participate where required in the resolution of safety issues.
- Initiate actions to improve health and safety within area of responsibility.
- Contractor induction, Work permits and risk assessments
- Effective reporting of any issues relating to company SH&E & QA policies.

Operations
- Point of contact when attending a breakdown. Effective communication skills are required.

Site Operations Leads
- Communication in both directions as required on all aspects relating to Maintenance. Obtain direction & provide feedback on all tasks/ issues. All communication on any concerns/ general matters as required.

Contractors
- Ensuring that contractors complete tasks safely, correctly and that all documentation is completed.
