Role
The Child and Maternal Health Ear Health Pathogenesis Prevention and Treatment Program needs a Program Manager to initiate and work across clinical trials and laboratory-based research projects involving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families with a focus on ear health and other early life bacterial illness prevention and treatment.
* Project initiation activities (including governance and agreements) multi-site coordination staff supervision and training.
* Participant recruitment follow-up visits in communities clinical data and specimen collection and conducting culturally sensitive clinical assessments.
* Project coordination with the Laboratory Team of the Child and Maternal Health Division.
* This position is based in Darwin and includes travel to remote communities by light aircraft or 4WD for participant recruitment for up to three (3) days per trip and up to two (2) trips per month.
About You
As a motivated and community-focused health professional you will have a strong interest in contributing to health research and improving outcomes for children. You may or may not have previous research experience and will be supported to build your skills.
* Postgraduate qualifications and experience.
* Demonstrated experience working with patients clients research participants or community members.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Aboriginal people and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team.

Benefits
* Base salary $114,014 to $124,170 per annum pro‐rata (total remuneration package including superannuation $140,169 to $151,747 per annum pro‐rata).
* Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave.
* Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum and $2,650 meal and entertainment card tax‐free.
* Option to increase superannuation to 14%.
