Senior Resident Medical Officer - General Surgery Opportunity
This unaccredited registrar position offers a stepping stone towards training application in General Surgery, providing good operating theatre exposure and opportunities to fulfill the application criteria. The Department of General Surgery recognises that for most candidates, this position will be an essential part of their career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work alongside accredited registrars, fellows, and consultants to deliver a comprehensive service to the community.
* Participate in ASU and trauma surgical services as well as after-hours and elective rotations.
Rotations:
The position may include rotations in Emergency Medicine at Canberra Hospital, Garan and/or North Canberra Hospital, Bruce, and Intensive Care Medicine at Canberra Hospital, Garran and/or North Canberra Hospital, Bruce.
Requirements:
* Be PGY3+ by February 2026.
* Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
* Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
