The primary objective of this role is to prepare and serve a diverse range of nutritious meals that contribute to the overall health and well-being of those residing in the detention centre.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assemble, prepare, and produce food requirements as directed by the Catering Manager.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene in food preparation areas and ensure compliance with the HACCP Food Safety Plan.
* Monitor and enforce proper storage standards, handling, and rotation of stock using First In, First Out (FIFO) principles.
This position requires a strong understanding of menu and nutritional standards, along with full knowledge of HACCP Food Safety guidelines. A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is also essential for success in this role.
