About the role
This senior product manager role is integral to the delivery of P&N Group’s strategic direction with responsibility for managing, developing and maintaining our deposit product suite to achieve business objectives. This includes responsibility for all deposit products within your portfolio inclusive of product and propositions, pricing and processes. Working as part of an inclusive and collaborative team your key responsibilities will include:
* Develop engaging deposit related product propositions using analytics, data and user feedback to attract and retain members. This includes managing the implementation of the product roadmap to support strategic objectives, deliver KPI’s and enhance member engagement.
* Preparation of papers and recommendations for Product & Propositions Committees and other forums as required.
* Undertaking regular benchmarking to measure market positioning and competitive position and key opportunities for product uplift/ enhancement.
* Manage cross functional teams to deliver product projects to achieve deliverables and effectively implement change. This includes the development of new products, and management of other key product projects, such as regulatory change.
* Monitor and analyse member, competitor and industry trends, recommend necessary changes and manage/implement approvals across internal and external pricing materials.
* Preparation of papers and recommendations for Pricing Committee and other forums as required that align to strategic needs of the business.
* Manage key product information including product Terms and Conditions, published material, contracts, product profiles etc.
* Identify, develop and drive member focussed process improvements ensuring product proposition delivery. Manage development of new processes to minimise risk and remediation.
* Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation and codes of practice.
* Build effective internal and external business relationships to ensure delivery of and engagement in product projects, product change, process development and execution.
What will you bring?
* Experienced in the development and execution of product strategies and propositions.
* Strong financial service product management and process experience, including preferably retail bank deposits specific experience.
* Experience at driving a portfolio to achieve budgeted targets, i.e. NIM, volume, customer growth.
* Demonstrated understanding of risk management practices, from identification to resolution and ongoing control framework.
* Awareness of applicable legislation and codes affecting financial products.
* Strong experience in delivering projects from initiation to execution across the business inclusive of change management and stakeholder engagement.
* Project management experience, executing process or policy change and managing cross functional stakeholders.
* Ability to source market intelligence and data to provide insight to the product strategy; strong analytical and numerical skills.
* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to interrogate data to find potential issues and provide solutions / recommendations. Ability to analyse large amounts of data to inform decision making.
* Ability to be pragmatic and solve problems with a stakeholder/customer experience focus.
* Proactive approach with strong stakeholder management skills including consultative and influencing capability; ability to negotiate with key stakeholders to facilitate change.
* Presentation and facilitation skills; ability to confidently present product recommendations to senior leadership, Pricing Committee etc.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex information in a clear, concise manner for both technical and non-technical audiences.
