All about the role
As Senior Material Controller, you are accountable for the end‐to‐end governance of inventory across the organisation. You ensure inventory accuracy, compliance, cost control, and material availability to support production, service, and export operations.
You lead a team of three, drive disciplined material controls, manage obsolete and excess stock, oversee model transitions, and deliver high‐quality reporting and analytics to support data‐driven decision‐making.
You act as the central point of coordination between Warehouse, Procurement, Planning, Engineering, Production, Finance, and Export Sales to ensure material integrity across the supply chain.
Typical Day
* Review inventory accuracy, variances, and cycle count results
* Monitor slow‐moving, obsolete, and excess materials
* Align with Planning and Production on material availability
* Investigate discrepancies and drive corrective actions
* Update Power BI dashboards and prepare management reports
* Lead team check‐ins and allocate workload priorities
* Coaching team members and conducting one‐on‐ones
* Escalate risks proactively with data‐backed recommendations
