Our client is an engineering company, specialising in Cooling Tower manufacture and maintenance.
They are seeking 2 reliable and safety-conscious Trade Assistant to support the cleaning and maintenance of cooling towers. You will work as part of a team responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and performing basic maintenance tasks on cooling towers in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the cleaning and decontamination of cooling towers using high-pressure water systems and cleaning agents
* Support tradespeople during maintenance and inspection procedures
* Set up and pack down work areas safely and efficiently
* Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Remove debris, algae, and scale build-up from tower basins, fills, fans, and other components
* Ensure proper waste disposal and site clean-up after job completion
Requirements:
* Physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
* Basic mechanical aptitude or previous experience with tools preferred
* Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
* Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
* White Card (Construction Induction) - mandatory
* Confined Space Entry ticket - mandatory
* Working at Heights ticket - mandatory
* Valid driver's license
