About The Role
The team is seeking a Backend API Developer with strong PHP and Symfony experience to join our growing team. You'll play a key role in designing and building secure, scalable APIs that power critical systems and integrations. This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety, working closely with designers, product managers and backend developers in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build and maintain secure high-performing APIs.
* Enforce best practices around input validation, data protection, rate limiting, encryption and transport security.
* Implement clear versioning, consistent error handling, and strong observability.
* Document APIs using OpenAPI.
* Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
* Contribute across the full development lifecycle: design, testing, deployment and maintenance.
About You
You're an independent thinker who thrives in a small team environment, bringing both technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills. You take pride in writing clean, secure, and well-documented code while collaborating effectively with others.
Requirements
* 3+ years' experience with PHP8+, Symfony, SQL and OpenAPI.
* Experience with Oracle or Postgres databases.
* Strong knowledge of version control systems.
* Familiarity with Docker containers.
* Solid understanding of Linux-based operating systems.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
