Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development professional to lead the transformation of our training approach across the business.
This newly created role will play a pivotal part in centralising our learning systems and streamlining L&D processes to support a consistent and effective employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake a comprehensive Training Needs Assessment across regions and farms, considering operational differences and role-specific requirements.
* Engage with stakeholders and subject matter experts, assessing current programs and identifying capability gaps to develop and implement a phased, practical Learning and Development Roadmap aligned to our business goals.
* Upgrade training materials, such as work instructions and high-risk task videos, transition our learning platform from iLeader to a fit-for-purpose solution, and create accessible, engaging resources that support a diverse workforce — including non-English speakers and those with LLN needs.
This is a foundational role at our organisation, giving you the opportunity to truly influence the way we learn and grow as a business. You'll help us build an L&D function that supports onboarding, compliance, technical upskilling, leadership development, and a culture of continuous learning — setting us up for success now and into the future.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll be an experienced Learning and Development professional with a practical, hands-on approach and a genuine passion for helping people grow.
* Confident working independently while also collaborating across different teams and levels of the business.
* Experience in the poultry or agriculture sector, or a fast-paced operational environment such as manufacturing.
* Demonstrated success in assessing learning needs, designing and delivering engaging training solutions, and supporting diverse learners — including those from non-English speaking backgrounds or with LLN needs.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment essential.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and produce accurate, insightful reports using data to inform your decisions.
* Initiative, sound judgement, and problem-solving skills; along with resilience and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
* Tech-savvy, with strong administrative skills, and experience reviewing, recommending, and implementing Learning Management Systems or other business-wide platforms — ideally worked with nationally recognised training programs or compliance frameworks.
Benefits
* Attractive remuneration package based on skills and experience.
* Supportive employer, willing to invest in your career and development.
* Committed to providing equal opportunities regardless of gender identity, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, or life stage.
