The Psychologist is responsible for providing assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic psychological services to students from Pre-Prep to Year 12 and works collaboratively to foster the development of mental health and wellbeing of all students.
This position makes a meaningful impact through the provision of professional guidance and interventions to help students navigate challenges and reach their full potential.
YOU WILL
Undertake educational and psychological assessment and diagnosis in all areas of child and adolescent development
Provide psychological counselling, therapy and programs for individuals and groups
Apply individual psychological evidence-based therapy experience and competence, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Deliver psycho-educational assessment involving intellectual and ability assessment tools, clinical measurement, clinical interview and observation
Provide diagnosis requirement analysis and synthesis of multiple measures, other information and understanding of diagnostic criteria as set out in DSM – V or ICD 10
Support with social, emotional, and behavioural development programs
Collaborate with families, relevant practitioners and key internal stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing

YOU WILL BRING
Strong experience in psychological assessments and treatment implementation, ideally in a school
Experience delivering individual and group psychological therapies for children and adolescents
Ability to effectively build rapport, access, nurture and empower others
Dedication to integrity, reliability, sound judgement, service and professional practice
Solid digital literacy, attention to detail, organisational, and record management skills
Qualifications in Psychology with current AHPRA registration
Certifications in First Aid and Mental Health First Aid
Physical fitness to perform standing, mobile and manual tasks
