 
        
        Special Education Teacher Role
The position of a Special Education Teacher involves working with students who require additional support to access the curriculum. The ideal candidate will have qualifications and experience in teaching students with autism, as well as a commitment to creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
About the Position
This is a full-time role commencing in 2026 and continuing until the end of the 2028 school year. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching a class of students on the autism spectrum, coordinating student enrolment and transition, and supporting mainstream teachers with students who have additional needs.
Main Responsibilities
 * Create a safe and supportive learning environment for students with autism
 * Coordinate student enrolment and transition processes
 * Provide support to mainstream teachers with students who have additional needs
Requirements
 * Qualifications to teach Religious Education or willingness to undertake relevant study
 * An active commitment to Catholic education or willingness to support its ethos
 * Special Education qualifications and/or experience teaching in a specialised setting
