Job Description
The role of Environmental Planning Officer is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of infrastructure projects in the Hunter Central Coast branch. As a key member of the Assets and Infrastructure team, you will support the team in delivering projects that replace damaged assets post major flood event, build resilience against future natural disasters, and enhance visitor experiences.
You will be responsible for supporting the team on the environmental approvals pathway for specific projects, preparing environmental assessments, and liaising with operational staff. Your skills in mapping and use of various databases will be essential in ensuring the smooth delivery of projects.
In addition, you will work closely with Project Officers to ensure delivery of projects in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy, and environmental objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in Environmental planning and assessment and environmental management.
* Experience in project management.
* Current Australian driver's licence.
