About the Role
Join our passionate team as a Disability Support Worker at Discovering You Support Services. This part-time opportunity is about more than just work — it's about helping individuals with disabilities achieve their goals and live more independently through personalised, meaningful support.
What You'll Be Doing
* Assisting with daily living (e.g. personal care, meals, household tasks, behaviour support)
* Supporting social, recreational, and community participation
* Advocating for participants and connecting them with the right supports
* Documenting client progress and ensuring accurate records
* Collaborating with families, other support workers, and care teams
* Promoting a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
What We're Looking For
* Understanding of the disability sector and complex needs
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Empathy, patience, and a passion for person-centred care
* Required checks/certifications:
* NDIS Worker Screening
* Working with Children Check
* First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
* Current driver's licence & reliable transport
