The Head of Service and the Deputy Director-General Office of Industrial Relations and Workforce Strategy, Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD), are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to perform the role of Executive Group Manager (EGM) Cultural Transformation. The Executive Group Manager (EGM) Cultural Transformation will shape and lead systemic whole of government reforms to operationalise Priority Reform Three, transforming government systems to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, with a focus on uplift of cultural capability, promotion of cultural safety and elimination of institutional racism for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The EGM Cultural Transformation will have a key role in embedding the ‘closing the gap principle’ into the ACTPS SES employment framework, and in driving education and engagement to enhance the capability of the ACTPS to deliver against commitments to implement the Closing the Gap and ACT Agreement. The EGM Cultural Transformation will report directly to the Head of Service and the Deputy Director-General OIRWS. Note: This is an Identified position in accordance with Section 27(4) of the Public Sector Management Act 1994 and is only open to an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander lived experience, and cultural capability is considered essential and therefore confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage may be requested. Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $377,954 or $389,635 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $333,737. Contract: The successful applicant will be placed on a short-term contract for up to two years.
