About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join us at our Warehouse as a Leading Hand.
Working collaboratively with another Leading Hand, the morning and afternoon shifts ensure logistical continuity across the warehousing and distribution functions.
Drawing from your well-rounded experience and demonstrating a commitment to health and safety, you will be a pivotal member of the team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be accountable for the effective and efficient warehousing and distribution function.
You Will Take On a Hands-on Role Responsible For
* Loading/unloading containers and trucks;
* Put away of product;
* Picking;
* Stock checks;
* Assist in maintaining an effective distribution system;
* Inventory management;
* Sorting and preparing all related documentation;
* Assist in induction and training of warehouse personnel;
* Work with the team and warehouse manager to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices;
* Ensure on-time delivery service is maintained;
* Work as a key member in a well-functioning team.
About You
Skills & experience you have include:
* Demonstrated experience in warehousing and distribution, preferably in a medium to large warehouse;
* Current forklift/stock picker license (or willingness to obtain);
* Strong written and verbal communication skills;
* Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities;
* Exceptional communication and customer service skills;
* Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office;
* Sound time management and organisational capabilities;
* Ability to work and contribute within a team;
* Current right to work in Australia.
Qualifications in warehousing and logistics or related discipline will be highly regarded.
