About the role
Mater Hospital South Brisbane's Administration team has an opportunity available for an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join the team working in Endoscopy Bookings and Scheduling. This position will be offered as a permanent part time role 32 hours per week.
The successful candidate will need to be available for all shifts across 5 days working between the hours of 6am to 7pm.
Salary range: $35.45 - $39.62 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900
What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
1. Manage, organise, and provide confidential administrative support to the Endoscopy Unit, ensuring maximum utilisation of theatre sessions
2. Processing patient waitlists and amendments, preparation of documentation with accuracy
3. Assist in the preparation of reports, theatre schedules and other associated correspondence
4. Providing administrative support to clinical staff
5. Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration and financial policy and procedures
6. Ensure effective, accurate and timely communications with staff and clients, communicating with sensitivity and discretion
7. Ensure support for other administration staff within the Administration Services Department
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
8. Highly experienced in providing medical administration support - experience with Endoscopy / theatre bookings desirable
9. Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively within a busy, fast-paced, demanding environment
10. Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening and decision-making skills
11. Deliver a patient centric approach and have a passion for delivering an exceptional experience
12. Possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills
13. Display strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyse information to identify problems and develop appropriate solutions
