Cloud Cost Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Cost Engineer to play a critical role in building and promoting a cost-aware culture that empowers engineers to maximize the value of every dollar spent in the cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop functionality that brings cloud cost insights closer to teams, including automated cost anomaly detection at scale.
* Lead discussions, scope solutions, and support product teams and leaders with real-time answers to cost-related questions.
* Partner with engineering teams to improve their cloud architecture with cost optimisation front of mind.
* Dive into our internal FinOps data platform, fine-tune performance, ensure uptime, and explore new ways to scale.
* Lead by example, inspiring others to adopt FinOps thinking and empowering teams to make cost-informed decisions.
Requirements:
* Proficiency in Golang or Python programming languages.
* Strong foundational knowledge of computer engineering principles.
* Experience with cloud infrastructure, especially AWS services such as EKS, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3.
* Ability to design scalable, secure, and cost-conscious cloud architecture.
* Fluency in infrastructure-as-code (preferably Terraform).
* Ownership and delivery of goals, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
