Energy Market Analyst
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Energy Market Analyst to join an international renewable energy IPP as an Energy Market Analyst. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in monitoring the energy market landscape, analysing market design changes, and translating these insights into actionable strategies that drive commercial success. Your expertise will directly influence site selection, offtake negotiations, and key commercial decisions, ensuring the optimal performance and profitability of energy storage projects.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and analyse energy market trends and regulatory changes.
* Develop and maintain robust BESS dispatch models to generate reliable revenue and risk forecasts.
* Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to provide actionable insights for project development and commercial strategies.
* Prepare and present market outlooks, performance benchmarks, and risk assessments to senior stakeholders.
* Support trading and operational teams with data‐driven strategies to optimize asset performance.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or a related quantitative field.
* Proven experience in energy market analysis for energy asset investment and operations.
* In‐depth understanding of power markets, market fundamentals, and the strategic behavior of market participants.
* Extensive experience in the energy sector, with exposure to both traditional and renewable energy projects.
* Background in energy trading and operations is highly desirable.
* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including local power companies, global tech brands, and investors.
