Supporting Independence
We are currently seeking a Support Worker to work in the area of MOE.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our caring team. As an NDIS registered provider, we prioritise establishing positive working relationships where our clients and Support Workers feel valued.
The successful applicant will be expected to have a good understanding of how to support individuals living with a disability. You must be passionate about helping others maintain their quality of life and independence.
You will need to be empathetic and possess strong listening and communication skills to be successful, as well as the ability to connect with people who present behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individualised support for clients using a supportive and positive approach (including support in daily activities, family support, community outings, etc.)
* Motivate and promote client independence
* Accompany clients for community outings
* Assist clients with their emotional, psychological, cultural, and spiritual needs
* Ensure clients are happy
Qualifications & Experiences:
* Certificate III in Disability or relevant qualification
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
* Driver's licence
* NDIS Screening Check
* Working With Children Check
* NDIS Orientation online training (willingness to complete this required)
