About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Social Worker to join the Cardinia Mental Health and Wellbeing Local team on a full-time basis. The Cardinia Local consortium, led by Mind Australia, delivers a range of mental health and community-based services to support some of the most vulnerable members of the Southeast Melbourne community. Our vision is to provide accessible support and treatment for people aged 26 years and over who are experiencing mental health concerns, including those with co-occurring alcohol and drug treatment needs.
In this role you will undertake comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments, deliver secondary consultations, and support timely escalation of care when required (e.g. PTS, ICT, CCT, inpatient services). You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented care through brief therapeutic interventions such as psychoeducation, coping strategy development, and single-session family work. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will participate in cyclical clinical reviews, contribute to collaborative care planning, and support integrated service delivery across community and acute settings.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to service quality, clinical governance, and continuous improvement initiatives, while providing discipline-specific supervision, education, and support to junior clinicians and students.
About Us

About You
You are a compassionate, confident and experienced Senior Social Worker with a strong commitment to recovery-oriented mental health practice. You will have:
* A Bachelor of Social Work or Master of Social Work (qualifying)
* Eligibility for ordinary membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* Written evidence of AASW eligibility for overseas qualifications (if applicable)
* A minimum of 7 years' post-qualifying experience
* Demonstrated experience in complex mental health assessment and intervention
