Mortimore & Associates are looking for an experienced Practice Manager to join our team.
We are seeking a skilled Practice Manager to support our people and strengthen the operations of the firm. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a practice where relationships, integrity and client service come first.
The focus of this role is to assist the partners, oversee the day-to-day office operations and provide guidance and support to our close-knit team. Our culture is professional yet relaxed and we take a team-based approach to ensuring our clients receive quality outcomes and service.
Key Responsibilities
* Management and overseeing of the firms general account including daily reconciliation and management of cash flow
* Management of payroll (Reckon One), including superannuation payments and lodgement of PAYG and BAS
* Manage the firm’s creditors and their payment terms
* Preparation of budgets and reports as required
* Execution of all end of month and end of year procedures (both trust account audit and financial)
* Overseeing the daily operations of the firm to ensure efficiency, structure and professionalism
* Oversight of office facilities, resources and WHS risk management
* Liaise with external accountants and advisors
* Management of HR matters
About You
* Previous experience as a Practice Manager or Office Manager within a law firm
* Demonstrated ability to implement or improve systems and processes
* High level of discretion, professionalism and confidentiality
* Strong financial literacy and analytical capability
* Excellent organisational and communication skills with a commitment to providing high-quality client service
* Ability to multi-task, think on your feet and prioritise a competing workload
* A reliable and punctual attitude to the workplace
* A proactive, all hands on deck attitude and genuine team mindset
* High level of confidence with computers, including exposure to Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Previous experience with NAB connect, PEXA, ATO portal, Adobe Acrobat, Comparto Legal Accounting and DMS is highly favourable
