We're recruiting for an experienced Rail Engineer, reporting to our Manager Design Group to join our growing team based either in Newcastle or Melbourne. The Tasks You'll Perform
* Ensuring technical solutions delivered during the study and design phases are compliant with design review processes and design quality requirements.
* Using 12D, Bentley, or AutoCAD, to develop high-quality 3D models, layouts, and detailed drawings for track, civil works, turnouts, spurs, and loops in accordance with Lycopodium's CAD procedures.
* Monitoring the progress and performance of project design.
* Provide technical support and input to proposals, customer presentations, and other marketing/business development activities.
* Assist in preparing design scope, budget estimates, and project schedules for written proposals.
* Engage in positive working relationships with the Client's representatives, contributing to successful project delivery.
* Coordinating with the multi-disciplinary engineering and drafting teams to help ensure project deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and in line with quality standards.
The Expertise You'll Bring
* 3+ years post graduate experience in Civil Engineering/Design Delivery Role.
* Proficiency in 12D, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD drafting skills will be looked upon favourably.
* Proven experience in Rail, and wider civil projects.
* Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering.
* Extremely well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
* High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge of engineering designs and calculations.
* Experience in Design and Project management.
