About the Role An established industrial services business is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee Production, Yard, and Logistics operations.
This newly created role will be pivotal in driving workflow efficiency, planning, safety, and operational performance across a fast-paced and reactive environment.
The Operations Manager will manage project-based fabrication and modification workflows, coordinate equipment refurbishment and maintenance, and oversee oversized and complex transport operations.
The role will also implement KPIs, process improvements, and operational frameworks that support both efficiency and safety, without disrupting day-to-day operations.
Reporting directly to the owners and working closely with the senior leadership team, this role leads a small team of direct and indirect reports and plays a key part in shaping the business as it continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities Oversee production, fabrication, and modification workflows, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
Manage equipment refurbishment, including wash and spray operations.
Lead production planning to balance fluctuating demand while maintaining flexibility.
Coordinate oversized and heavy transport movements, including permits, police escorts, and third-party logistics.
Implement KPIs, operational frameworks, and process improvements.
Maintain and improve safety standards across all operational areas.
Lead, coach, and develop a team, fostering a practical, hands-on, and empowered culture.
Work collaboratively with senior leadership to support business growth and operational excellence.
