Roles and Responsibilities
* Developing and executing a comprehensive operational and strategic plan aligned with organisational objectives and future diversification
* Leading a full operational transformation, including redesigning processes, procedures, workflows and organisational structures to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability
* Driving digital and systems uplift, implementing modern technology solutions that enhance visibility, compliance, workforce deployment efficiency and data‐driven decision making
* Building scalable operating models capable of supporting higher volume labour hire operations and expansion into new sectors
* Identifying and pursuing new market opportunities, including sector diversification and geographic growth
* Delivering measurable improvement margins and profitability through workforce utilisation, pricing discipline, cost control and operational efficiency
* Negotiating and managing major client contracts to ensure long‐term commercial success and service excellence
* Enhancing risk, WHS and compliance frameworks across all operational environments
* Leading cultural and organisational change, building capability, accountability and engagement across a diverse, multi‐site workforce
* Developing high performing teams through coaching, professional development and clear performance expectations
* Integrating with MADEC's employment services and education & training divisions to deliver organisation‐wide outcomes
* Leading and managing the realities of a dispersed, field‐based workforce, including variability in capability, workforce mobility and service delivery across multiple locations
* Leading through experienced Regional Managers, providing clarity, standards and accountability while enabling them to own delivery within their regions
Qualifications and Experience
Seeking general management professionals with transferrable experience managing large multi‐site and geographically dispersed teams within workforce‐heavy, operational service environments such as retail, facilities management, logistics, workforce services or healthcare.
Essential expertise includes commercial acumen, strategic thinking, strong leadership, relationship building, negotiation skills and a collaborative mindset.
Experience navigating regulatory environments and leading high volume operations is highly regarded, as is strong knowledge of employment law, WHS and compliance frameworks.
Location and Travel
With frequent travel expected, this position can be based in Adelaide, Brisbane or Melbourne.
