The Rec Hotel Waroona is looking for a new leader.
Part of the Boulder Dash Entertainment Group (BDEG), we are one of Western Australia's most dynamic and rapidly expanding hospitality companies. With 8 venues and counting, we operate pubs that are the heartbeat of their local communities.
We are looking for an experienced General Manager to take immediate charge of operations. We need a hands-on operator who knows how to pour a beer, run a tight P&L, and lead a team from the front.
The Package
We need a top-tier operator, and we are backing that up with a market-leading package:
* Salary: $120,000 Base + Superannuation.
* Sign-on Bonus: $5,000 Sign-on Bonus for the successful candidate.
* Accommodation: Private House included as part of the salary package.
* Food: Full meal/food allowance included.
* Incentives: Generous KPI bonus structure based on financial performance.
* Tools: Laptop provided.
The Role
This is not an office job. You will be the face of the venue, responsible for the total day-to-day operations of The Rec.
* Total Operational Control: Manage the bar, bistro, and kitchen operations to ensure high standards of service and quality.
* Financial Integrity: Strict control of COGS, wage costs, and stock. You must have a sharp eye for the bottom line and variance reporting.
* Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and roster a team that loves coming to work. We need someone who can build a strong, accountable culture.
* Community Engagement: Embed the venue into the local community—from footy clubs to social groups.
What We Need From You
* Experience: Previous experience as a Venue Manager or 2IC in a busy pub or hospitality venue is essential.
* Financial Acumen: A solid understanding of venue financials, stock control systems, and variance reporting is non-negotiable.
* Resilience: The ability to think on your feet, solve problems quickly, and handle the pressure of a busy service.
* Compliance: Strong knowledge of WA liquor licensing and OHS requirements.
