Chief Engineer – Hardy Aviation Hardy Aviation is a major regional aviation company based in Darwin NT. It operates a large fleet of Cessna 200/400 series and Metro aircraft, providing a wide range of air transport services. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be required to work in a team environment carrying out both Line and Base maintenance on our fleet under our Part 145 Approval Certificates. You will supervise the daily work practices of Hardy Maintenance Pty LTD including contractors and ensures full compliance with the aviation Quality and Safety management systems CAR 30 and PT 145 expositions. Essential Skills & Experience · Performs the duties of a LAME. · Expected to show leadership. · Able to assemble work teams to perform required aircraft maintenance. · Computer literate with good organisation skills. · Ability to prioritise and delegate when necessary · Has sound knowledge of quality and safety management principles. · Commits to promoting quality outcomes ensuring documentation and procedures are maintained. · Participates in and assists in the development of the shift roster · Liaise with Operations in the management of line maintenance · Builds effective maintenance teams and works collaboratively with others. · Must have CASA B1.1 or B1.2 Licence · Good oral and written communication skills · Sound knowledge of CASA regulatory requirements · Knowledge of QMS, HF & SMS · Able to successfully complete DAMP testing · Australian Citizenship or full working rights within Australia · Experience in Cessna Caravans, SA227 Metro and 400/200 series aircraft and PT6A / TPE331 engines an advantage Working hours Mon-Fri with two day shifts, no night shift and overtime available Flexible working arrangements may be available.
